Hi Eloisa,
My name is Beatrice, I work in a office. From several months I suffered from shoulder pain (right shoulder) .The range of movement is limited with lost of stiffness, worse at night.
I went to see my GP and was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. To reduce the pain I was given corticosteroid injections. The pain has now return and my shoulder is still stiff. At the moment Iā€™m trying to keep my arm immobilized to lessen the pain. What can shiatsu do for me?.

Hi Beatrice,
The are lost of people who cam to shiastu because of frozen shoulder. Most of then try to immobilize the shoulder because of the pain. It is true that is you move constantly the arm it will hurt, but shiatsu has a different prospectus of the matter. I mean that if the person persists to move the shoulder it will cause a Qi stagnation ( the energy that in the case is blocked in the shoulder ) and it will cause more and more stiffness. Since shiatsu consider the body /mind and spirit connected the practitioner has the ability to locate the origin of the pain with the use of oriental medicine and treat it after.
